Elodina offers a big data as a service platform that solves today’s data analytics needs by providing the data center tools and support necessary to utilize open source technologies. Elodina’s subscription platform services can be implemented either in the client’s own datacenter, or in a managed data center (we are RackSpace partners), or via public cloud provider (we fully support AWS, RackSpace cloud, Microsoft Azure, and OpenStack) to facilitate the real-time ingestion, analytics and processing of data. Solution
Building a big data solution that integrates market leading open source technologies into an existing proprietary platform is a difficult task. Although open source technology is freely available, developing and maintaining a software infrastructure that successfully integrates open source tools requires significant development resources. The Elodina platform handles the integration process by providing clients a large-scale data solution that does not require them to redevelop their proprietary technology. Elodina’s clients are free to utilize their software development resources for their core business objectives rather than on the integration, deployment, monitoring, and scaling of the technologies used to build the data-processing stack. This isn’t an analytics solution; it's a solution to the plumbing that enables analytics solutions.
Platform/Product
The platform includes both Elodina developed open source software and Elodina licensed software along with third party open source and licensed software to provide the processing stack per a client’s needs. These include Mesos (and/or DCOS from our partner Mesosphere), Kafka (an open source project that Elodina contributes to), Cassandra (and/or DSE from our partner DataStax), Spark, Storm, Impala, Hadoop (via Cloudera or Hortonworks or MapR), and many other technologies. We integrate these technologies via Elodina developed “schedulers” that automate the setup and launching of whole clusters and nodes, which include all the elements of the stack. Our schedulers also automate monitoring and analytics of the running clusters into notebooks including Zepplin , Beaker, Jupyter and others. In addition to implementation services, we offer clients three levels of platform support to choose from.
