What is Weaver?
Weaver is an app that allows people to express themselves creatively and aesthetically: users can enhance their online social activity with expressive illustrations and artists can showcase their art on an open digital marketplace.
How did the idea come about?
Storytelling has always been an important part of being human. Stories do so much: they provide meaning and context for what we want to say, they make education more effective as well as interesting, they make us curious about the world around us. Put simply, stories create connections.
We created Weaver because we wanted to empower the everyday user to become a creative storyteller. With more and more of communication becoming digital we think it is important to enhance mobile communication; allowing it to be not only be more compelling, but allowing everyone to tell fascinating stories with nothing more than their mobile device.
