Our engineering team is responsible for building a high performance, reliable distributed system that can run anywhere, process petabytes per day, and have little to no impact on latency. Our goal is to provide a powerful platform to separate signal from noise from any data in motion. We are trying to change the way people think about building and deploying applications that use data, and have started by working with some of the largest companies (and government agencies) in the world.
We are backed by some of the best investors in tech - Quest Venture Partners, FF VC, Haystack, and Recursive Ventures.
SWEs who join us can expect to work with an extremely interesting technology stack (Clojure/Rust), touch exotic environments (our first installation was on a government supercomputer), and solve deep pains for our users across a number of verticals.
Right now we have our very technical CEO and one Backend Software Engineer.
Our CEO, runs the weekly engineering stand ups. We use Github issues and projects for issue tracking. Sprints typically last two weeks.
We're a startup so we understand that things change quickly and drastically. We tweak goals and milestones as necessary.
We have to be deployable on-prem, AWS, GCP, Azure, etc. We have to be fast, fault tolerant, and reliable. We have to process gigabytes of streaming data per second.
Optimize our performance everywhere. If you can optimize it and demonstrate that it's faster, we're game.
Build our regex generation/creation web interface from scratch. We want this tool to be accessible to everyone, from business analysts to hardcore developers.
Completely gut our Postgres database and replace it with something that matches the k8s model.
Own our CI/CD pipeline. Performance regression testing is a big one for us.
Either shard our caching layer to deal with NIC saturation or pick a tool off the shelf that'll do it for us.
