Job Description

Working across all forms of Social Media, your primary role will be building out the Tiger Pistol platform, with a particular focus on our data analytics and machine learning capabilities. This platform will help deliver world class solutions to our partners. You will be able to develop your skills on a platform that is on the cutting edge – built on the Azure cloud we are using Orleans, OWIN, Nancy, Web Api, SignalR and Knockout JS to create a distributed, modular and responsive application.

Currently we are looking to increase the analytics and machine learning capability of our platform. We are pulling in hundreds of megabytes of social/ads data and we are looking for a candidate who can help us expose this data in a way that is helpful to users of the platform. Any candidates that can show complimentary skills in HIVE/Hadoop/HDInsights will be highly regarded.

Requirements

With at least 5 years of experience, you keep your ear to the ground for the latest Open Source technologies, whether they are C# based or not, and think about how they can make you and your team’s day to day work better.

You've worked on product development for at least part of your career, and prefer to build new and innovative systems in a collaborative environment. You have a passion for technology, get satisfaction from solving real business problems, can communicate effectively and enjoy being part of a team.

Some of the factors we are looking for in our candidates include:

• Experience with big data analytics, post processing and machine learning.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies, including Azure.
• Extensive knowledge of C#, Java, ASP.Net (MVC or Web Api) and SQL Server.
• Experience with alternative data stores, especially blob and table storage in Azure.
• Working knowledge of the Facebook Graph API and Twitter API.
• Proficient analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Collaborates well in a team environment and sensitive to the needs of business stakeholders.
