    How We Interview & Hire Engineers

    We know that job searches can be laborious and time-consuming, so our philosophy is to interview as quickly as possible while still giving you a chance to learn about us and work on our actual code base.

    We start with an initial 30 minute long call with one of our team to answer your questions about The Hut Group, followed by a 1-hour initial coding exercise done remotely through coderpad.io .

    If that goes well, we’ll sometimes we'll send you with a take home assignment or sometimes go directly to a full day session at our office.

    You’ll meet the entire team - both engineering and non-engineering - and have lunch with us. You’ll do a project and then pair with one of our engineers on a real feature!

    We hope by the end of the day, you’ve had a chance to learn all about us and we typically can make a formal offer quickly.
