Terra makes it easy to access fitness and wellness data (daily activity, workout, biomarkers etc) using HTTP requests.💪

Our API is organized around REST. Our API accepts form-encoded request bodies, returns JSON-encoded responses, and uses standard HTTP response codes, authentication, and verbs.

You can thus build an app, or a service, or use an existing one, to provide to your users access to different devices such as Garmin and Fitbit.

Mission and Vision:

• We aim to connect to thousands of wearable devices and sensors, making any health data easily accessible with a single connection to Terra's API.
• Imagine Spotify giving you better song recommendations by accessing your health metrics or Netflix giving you better movie recommendations.
• Machine learning engineers will be able to predict disease and change the world of medicine by accessing a large historical data set of different health metrics.
• Remote patients monitoring will become much easier by allowing doctors to access real-time data.

Responsibilities:

• We are creating the simplest API to enable every developer to access fitness and health data from wearables and sensors. As easy as Stripe. You will be responsible for building the product.

Infrastructure.

This involves work with AWS, API gateways, testing, and deploying the solution

Backend work

This involves work on Python and Flask, to ship fast new features

Frontend work

This involves work on React, to interface the clients within apps.

Requirements:

• Must have done this before. You built APIs, you know how it works. You wrote in Python, and you built on AWS in the past.
• Must be fast. We operate at 200mph, and so do you.
• Must be relentless. We never stop, so you have to keep up.
• Must have high standards. We think customers first and so should you.
• Must be driven and go above and beyond.
• Must be able to explain and communicate clearly.
