At SwiftStack, we are building a platform that makes data manageable and portable between public and private clouds. In the process, we’re tackling some incredibly difficult and interesting data storage and management problems, including transparently scale-out object storage, distributed file systems, and leveraging metadata in our customer's workflows. We aim to give companies infinite storage capabilities in their own datacenter on commodity hardware, and make that data accessible at home and in the cloud!
Our small team of multitalented engineers works on robust distributed storage software, complex systems orchestration, and custom, domain-specific management and monitoring facilities, all based on a stack that's probably at least in part familiar to you: Python, Django, Golang.
Our process is straightforward and expeditious. First, you'll spend some time on the phone with one of our engineers. We'll discuss you, your background, and what you're looking for. We'll tell you a bit about SwiftStack and answer any questions you have. Then, we'll discuss some technicalities about programming and internet infrastructure. If we mutually agree to continue, we'll schedule an interview on-site (or via teleconference if you are not local). The interview usually takes 3-4 hours, and is focused on programming and other practical problems that we've encountered while working here. You'll meet 4-6 team members and get a chance to ask them about the company, the team, or the product. The following day, you'll talk directly to our VP of Engineering about your offer. That's it!
