Who we are

SentiSum is a VC backed startup that provides an analytics solution leveraging machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) capabilities, enabling enterprises to decode customer conversation at scale. You will be working with smart individuals who come with rich corporate and academic background.

What is the role?

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Data Engineer who is passionate about harnessing the power of data and technology to drive business value and help us refine and improve the core SentiSum product.

What Day-to-day Can Look Like At SentiSum:

1. Get your hands dirty, actively contribute to codebase and code reviews (at least 60% of your time)

2. Coach, mentor and grow our team

3. Develop an in-depth knowledge of the existing system and take an active role in developing our technology to support the growth and ambition of the business.

4. Taking an active part in – and occasionally facilitating– workshops with customers, partners, often as part of a sales process.

Requirements

1. Experience working in a startup or similar environment
2. Recent experience developing software with some or all of the following: Java, Python, Elastic Search, JavaScript, React, deep learning frameworks.
3. Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS is desirable)
4. Degree from a top-tier University possibly with a postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, Machine Learning or similar
5. Experience engineering scalable data processing pipelines.
