Primer is founded by former PayPal employees who have helped the world's largest companies integrate and manage payments globally, including but not limited to Uber, Airbnb, Spotify, and many others.

As product and engineering folks, we wanted to solve the most diverse and complex payments problems we had encountered for merchants and developers and pioneered the concept of an open, end-to-end automation platform for payments.

Starting in early 2020, within our first 9 months we reached Series A, raising an unprecedented $25M from leading investors (including Balderton and Accel), within 20 months we've raised a Series B of $50M led by Iconiq, and now we're rapidly scaling Primer globally! We're currently a remote-first team of 130 folks in over 25 countries 🌏

Our mission is to make payments a first-class product area for anyone accepting payments. Our passion and drive come from building the next generation of payments technology, period -- and we're just at the very beginning 🚀
