Video (above): Our yearly all-hands company retreat. We're distributed around the world, so it's beneficial to come together and work face-to-face for a week and get to know each other socially… and as an experiences company, we sure know how to put on an event! (video is from when we were called Verve, hence the caption)
Our software uses social data to find a brand's most influential fans to recruit as ambassadors, and gives those fans the tools they need to sell tickets to their friends. In exchange for bringing a group, they get rewarded with a free ticket for themselves, and money-can't-buy experiences to share with their friends.
We work with the biggest and best events brands in over 20 countries, including more than 500 sports teams, music festivals, performing artists and vacation destinations.
In the past few years we've acquired several US-based travel companies, making us the largest student travel provider for the North American market. This gives us access to a growing audience, and the opportunity to develop our technology further to encompass travel operations.
Here's how Billboard explains it working for our customers, like Jack and Bestival:
For the past four summers, Jack Fossey has enjoyed ending his university semester by celebrating with his friends at the annual British music festival Bestival. In 2014, he purchased a general admission ticket and camped out for the weekend festivities with his usual crew.
But the following year, he and his friends all went for free, and were treated to a variety of first class amenities. The reason: he sold 62 Bestival tickets as an ambassador for Pollen, a word-of-mouth sales software for live entertainment.
"I actually sold the most tickets in the UK so I hit the top prize tier," he tells Billboard. "A speed boat picked me up in Southampton and took me to the festival on the Isle of Wight. I was able to bring five or six of my mates and they gave us champagne along the way. It was pretty awesome." The 22-year-old Fossey was awarded a free ticket to the four-day fest, a VIP camping spot for himself and up to 10 pals, a t-shirt, and passes to watch the show behind the venue’s main stage.

We want everybody to leave the company 10 × better than when they joined.
We believe everyone is most fulfilled and do their best work when they find that intersection between what they love doing and what they’re the best at. We help everyone discover that crossover, develop it and excel!
