Live2Leave

Live2Leave is a travel app, now available on the App Store where you can record your favorite spots and get recommendations from people you know.
With Live2Leave you can: Record your trips and places that you liked, in your own city or while traveling abroad (don’t we always forget where we go?); Share them easily with your friends (don’t we always get asked for recommendations?); and search for your friends’ recommendations when you arrive in a city you don’t know or want to plan a trip in a country you’ve never been to (don’t we all write those Facebook statuses asking for recommendations, but then our friends’ answers get lost in our newsfeed?)

In the end, if your friends still ask you for recommendations even though they have access to Tripadvisor or Lonely Planet, it’s because they know that if you liked a place, they are far more likely to like it too than if it’s a place recommended by someone they don’t know.

Live2Leave is now looking for a lead developer to join a small team of two. We want someone highly motivated who shares our vision and is ready to face the challenges of the crucial upcoming months as we grow our user-base, implement new features and find new ways of engaging users.

Qualifications:
2+ years' professional full-stack development using modern stacks / frameworks / technologies
Minimum Bsc degree in Computer Science or related field, solid computer science skills

Must Have:
Good communication skills
Strong self-direction and motivation
An expert understanding of Javascript and Node.js
Strong experience with React / React Native
Experience of handling relational databases and cache-technologies (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, MSSQL, Redis)

Desirable:
Worked previously in an international environment
Experience with automated test frameworks like mocha/chai/ava
Experience with Heroku and CI/CD
