Desired Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this position you must have a strong Rackspace/AWS/Google Cloud experience. You will be responsible for building, securing, maintaining a hybrid cloud-based infrastructure for our Java-based application services and portals. You will also be responsible for building and operating an automation/orchestration framework and a container-based application delivery process to facilitate smooth delivery of applications from engineering/QA to production/deployment in a continuous integration/development environment. Ideally you will have:

  • Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
  • Familiar with network administration and security architecture/protocols
  • Experience with cloud automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Puppet, Chef or equivalent
  • Familiar with Docker, OpenStack
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
  • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB)
  • Working understanding of code and script (e.g. Python)
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in HIPAA/PHI-compliant, HA environment
  • Familiarity with security standards: ISO, NIST, PCI, HIPAA and COBIT

Familiarity or experience with ASC X12 transaction sets such as the 837, 835, 277 and 275 is a plus. You must perform in an environment where documentation is sparse; and have great communication skills to interact with the people who can answer your questions.
