What We Do:
HoganX is a small team of psychologists, data-scientists and technologists based in NYC. We are devoted to empowering people and organizations through self-knowledge, personality science and big-data. We believe knowledge is power, and self-knowledge is empowering. Through our evolving suite of innovative tools and assessments, we help people understand who they are, why they behave the way they do and how they can be their best self. We help organizations make smart and unbiased hiring decisions.
A day in the life of work at HoganX is filled with hard work, music, creativity, coffee (and often some beer). Our data scientists are creating and validating assessments, exploring genetic algorithms, and detecting personality signals in unstructured data such as text and email. Our developers are shipping corporate-ready SaaS solutions. Our sales people are selling. We have a long and exciting road-map of tools and technologies to build out, and hope you will consider joining us on our journey.

What is Personality:
Do you ever wonder why your friend can't get enough of parties, while you find parties to be a stressful chore? Or why your significant other diligently plans vacations, while you prefer to wing it?
People are unique. We each have different wants, needs and desires and we find different kinds of activities enjoyable. It turns out that many of the things we do, the way others perceive us and the way our friends understand us, are part of a unique personality. Research has shown that by a few questions, you can learn a lot more about yourself, your strengths, your weaknesses and the things you value.

How we hire:
Our interview process begins with an introductory call to help you better understand the opportunity, give us a glimpse into your interests and motivations, and help you decide if HoganX is the right place for you to be your happiest and most successful self. From there, we will invite you to complete a pre-hire assessment online. Once complete, you will be invited onsite to interview with someone from our team. Engineering candidate interviews include a coding challenge, a discussion with a product engineer, a walk-through of our products and a conversation around a day in the life of a developer at HoganX.
