Fever introduces a new event booking and discovery app for iPhone and Android that combines a curated event feed with a crucial social element to allow users to follow friends, local influencers and tastemakers. Its 21 year-old founder, Pep Gomez, has been working during 2 years managing a venture capital firm.
Fever disrupts the mobile event space by introducing a meaningful social experience that is woven into the discovery of local events. Upon opening the app, users are prompted with hashtags to pick their top three interests to build a user profile. The app then generates a curated list of events based on the users’ activity as well as their interaction with the Fever community, filtered from hundreds of options and the city’s most popular venues.
By allowing individuals to make decisions based off of their friends’ activity as well as select influencers -- a feature unique to Fever -- people can see who has actually purchased tickets and plan on attending events via real-time updates. The app leverages both social and performance elements by combining a collaborative tool with a curated event feed for maximum effect.
One of the founders of the company was previously Head of Emerging Products at Google, so Fever's work methodology and culture is inspired by the same values. Honesty, respect, transparency and trust. Also, we look for the brightest talent wherever it is.
