The Tale of FantasyHub

The FantasyHub story begins on a Football Sunday in September 2012, on a couch in a college apartment. After managing multiple season-long fantasy teams and not being able to submit a lineup in time for one league, we saw the opportunity to create a better fantasy sports platform.

Iterating on the FantasyHub concept through our last year of college in 2013, we moved to Louisville, KY to give our concept a real shot. It was at this time companies like Fanduel and Draftkings were beginning to make a name for themselves; we pivoted to start with Daily Fantasy Sports. We quickly built a MVP, got some early traction and eventually made our way to Austin, TX to join the Techstars program in early 2015.

Daily Fantasy Sports has always been marketed about how much money you can win. However, that isn't why people play fantasy sports. We have always been fascinated with the behaviors of fantasy sports users and how they are much better fans than your mainstream sports fan. We wanted FantasyHub to be a place where every fan can fall in love with something we offer, but we also wanted it to be a place where the influencers of sports (Athletes, Teams, Leagues) could connect with fans in a meaningful way.

The People Behind the Hub

We are a top 10 daily fantasy company with an amazing team of 7, 20 somethings, who now love sports and started with humble beginnings. Like a beehive, we are alive in a beautiful chaos.

There are 2 division 1 Athletes, 3 non-tech founders, 4 developers, 3 Steven's, 2 Chris', and all of us are hungry to topple our competitors by doing things smarter and quicker.

In other companies, sports can be found at the water coolers. At FantasyHub, the water cooler is the only place you can't talk about sports.

However, we aren't your prototypical jocks (the two DI athletes only competed in swimming and baseball), we love to: play league of legends, hike, camp, play board games, drink on the weekends or in the office.

At the end of the day, everyone here is passionate about what they do and joined because they love our vision and want to create something greater than ourselves.
