ExaVault was founded in 2012, and was 100% remote 'before it was cool'. We've got a great remote benefits package, including free trips around the world twice a year, money to buy stuff for your office, and more.
We provide managed file transfer solutions -- helping companies move big data files from point A to point B, usually via automated means. We've got tons of 'name' clients -- companies like Adobe and Zillow, as well as thousands of smaller firms.
Some key things when considering ExaVault:
- Our CEO has a CS degree from Harvey Mudd. While he doesn't write a ton of code anymore, he built the first version of the platform and understands what it means to be an engineer.
- While we do use cloud platforms like AWS, we also run some of our own iron, in datacenters in San Jose, CA and Sacramento, CA. We consider that a major competitive advantage -- ask why during the interview.
- Our stack is a modern one: even though the company is almost ten years old, we've rewritten literally every single line of code in the last 3 years. The only thing that still really sucks is our deployment system -- we're using some home-grown scripts and not something like kubernetes. That's high on our list to fix.
- We're almost all technical people, even in marketing and operations. Given that we're a technical company selling a technical product to technical customers, we find that makes life way, way easier.
