EMX is the first crypto-native exchange to offer both cryptocurrency futures and traditional equity and commodity futures. EMX offers margin trading with a focus on institutional-level stability, security, and features - all without the need to convert to fiat.

We're also leveling the playing field for all traders by disincentivizing high-frequency trading through the use of an auction-based matching engine. There will be no benefit to colocating next to EMX servers or investing millions in high-performance infrastructure. EMX brings fair, transparent, and powerful risk management tools to traders of all types.

EMX is focused on the Asian cryptocurrency market for our initial release (Korea and Singapore) but hope to be expanding quickly afterward. We're currently building towards a trading competition in September/October and a live release around the end of the year.

Team

We are an experienced team of engineering and finance professionals from top tech and wall street firms including Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, AQR Capital, Citigroup, Graham Capital, and the CME. We have 12 full-time team members including 3 engineers and a VP of Product.

Office

We work out of a house in residential Palo Alto near Rinconada Park. We're about a 20 minute walk (or quick bike ride) from the California Ave Caltrain station (and just a bit further from Palo Alto station).
