The Job

Our engineering team is small and agile. Engineers are involved in projects from the very beginning. We help brainstorm ideas, spec out and implement features, help with marketing, look at data analytics, etc.; there are no departmental silos here. You'll start pushing major features to production within a month or two of starting and you'll be helping out millions of parents and teachers when you do!

We're always experimenting with new technologies and we try to stay on the cutting edge of web development. Our Brainzy HTML5 gaming platform uses canvas, SVG, Web Audio API, 3D transforms, web storage, HTML5 video, React, Redux and more. We also love using and contributing to open source projects.

Interview Process

We start with a short introductory phone call where we'll talk about the company, culture, and your background. The next step is a technical phone screen with one of our engineers. This is meant to get a general sense of your development experience and areas of expertise. The next (and usually last) step is an on-site interview where you'll meet the team, do some coding problems on a whiteboard, and see if there's a good culture fit. This usually lasts a couple hours, but we're flexible depending on your schedule.
