We are seeking a Software Applications Engineer with hands on Energy Management Systems experience to join our fun and vibrant team.
    This is an opportunity where you will get to drive significant economic value for eCurv’s customers and have a real impact on the environment. You will be responsible for interfacing eCurv's BACnet site controllers and energy demand management software to both leading edge and legacy Building Automation System systems.
    eCurv's BACnet platform is software-based, designed to run on commodity hardware under Linux or Android. The scripting/programming system is based on Node.js and server-side Javascript.
    Working remotely is a possibility, but frequent in-person meetings and/or lab work in our Newton, MA office will be required. Duties will include pre-sales assessment and planning, proposal development, and deployment support.
    Skills & Requirements
    A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience as a Software Engineer. 3+ years of professional software development experience. Technical competencies: BACnet, Javascript, Linux/Android, Node.js, Java. Concrete experience programming BACnet or other building automation systems is a requirement.
    The ideal candidate will have experience with systems from one or more of the following vendors: Tridium Niagara AX, Novar, Automated Logic, JCI, Carrier i-vu, Andover, Delta Controls, etc. Knowledge of digital control systems as applied to building operations, and engineering-level understanding of building systems is a plus.
    Responsibilities
    • Software development and support for HVAC and other energy controls applications
    • Consulting services to assist in troubleshooting HVAC operational issues
    • Design and implement software using Tridium Niagara Framework at an expert level
