DocStation was founded by Sammuel Anderegg and Josh Matz. They incorporated the company in early 2017 and by the summer, a prototype had been developed that was being used by over 50 pharmacists. And by the end of that year, a deal had been closed with a large insurance company to begin providing the DocStation platform for free to pharmacies. As the deal was closing, DocStation was also invited and accepted an invitation to join a tech accelerator, TechStars Austin, in 2018. DocStation ended 2018 with over 5,000 patients - a big milestone. Today, we’re covering almost 1M patients and actively expanding the reach of our mission and platform. We are excited to share this experience with everyone as we seek to empower pharmacists and patients.
DocStation believes in helping people and we believe pharmacists are uniquely positioned within the healthcare profession to help their patients considerably more than they already are. They're a central point of contact for patients with chronic conditions being seen by multiple specialists and they're highly trained to help those patients manage their medications. By enabling pharmacists to shift from pills to patients we can help those pharmacists help their patients to achieve better outcomes and life satisfaction.
