What's it like to be an engineer at Deskpro?
Deskpro is first and foremost a software company. Even the CEO is an ex-developer from back in the day. We're all committed to making a great product, and we all understand that that starts with the engineers!
Being an engineer at Deskpro is probably a bit different from being an engineer at other companies. We're still small, and that means everyone dips and and out of various different roles. You'll be involved in all parts of the product and business: You'll have a voice in the direction of the product, you'll be involved in feature discussions, you'll be able to propose changes and use new technology, you'll get to speak to customers -- really, you'll get to try out a bit of everything.
This variety also applies to your day to day engineering work too. Deskpro is a platform; for some customers it's their central hub and they use it for everything from ticketing to blog posts to real-time chat. We get hundreds of feature requests and ideas for new apps and modules. One week we're adding kanban task management, the next week we're integrating with Salesforce. There's always something new to do.
