After reaching the summit of Mt. Everest, Jeff followed along a story of a teenage girl who was drugged, raped, and photos of her were posted on social media. What's worse - the photos went viral. There was a hashtag that people would use when they posted their own photo imitating the position of her body.
Because of social media, she was victimized twice.
Around that same time, Derek was building a team of intelligence analysts focused on the social media activity of radical extremists in the Middle East.
When Jeff & Derek met in early 2019, their passion as fathers quickly ignited a unique mission: stop social media from becoming a social disaster. And so they founded Cyber Dive, the maker of the Aqua One smartphone.
Our company is on a mission to combat the stigma and fear that parents feel about social media. We are anti screen-time and anti blocking/limitations. We're challenging the status quo because we don't think technology is inherently bad. And we are going to change the landscape.
