WHAT WE DO
Chameleon helps build and test personalized interactive product tutorials without writing code. This makes it easy and effective to better onboard new users or demo new feature releases. Teams can easily run A/B tests, target user segments and make changes on the fly to improve user engagement and retention. Our early clients have improved user conversions by >30% and saved weeks of engineering time.

BACKGROUND
Whilst working together we spent 4 months iterating onboarding and saw user activations increase 3x. This demonstrated how important first user experience was for retention and CLV.

We noticed many other founders struggle to improve their onboarding without a great solution. Of the 86 companies we contacted early on, only 3 were satisfied with their user onboarding.

Companies build great products and spend to acquire users, but it's all a waste if users don't activate and we will fix that.

TECHNOLOGY
We use a JavaScript snippet to serve the tutorials with a dashboard to edit the content, style, triggers and targeting.

We automatically collect all analytics on how users are engaging with our tutorials and the underlying product. Customers can specify conversion events, which help assess and improve the success of the tutorials.

Our Segment integration provides seamless implementation and we have other data integrations and an API in our roadmap. Our current tech stack includes: Node.js + MongoDB for tutorials and data collection, and Rails + Ember + Highcharts for the dashboard. We write tests in RSpec and Jasmine and deploy continuously with CircleCI.
