Carta (formerly eShares)

Our mission is to map the global ownership network and create more owners in the process.

Founded 2012
501-1000 employees
  • Banking, Corporate Finance, & Investing
  • Legal Services
  • Headquarters address
    San Francisco, CA

We are building the central registry of asset ownership.

Our team believes that the way in which assets are created, issued and transferred is inherently flawed. We live in a world where individuals can execute public market trades in a fraction of a second, but startups pay tens of thousands of dollars (and spend up to a month) to close a seed round. Carta is on a mission to change this by providing companies of all stages with the infrastructure to manage their ownership.

We are growing rapidly in several markets across the US, including San Francisco, Palo Alto, Seattle, and New York. We are looking for exceptional people to join our team as we build the world’s next great financial infrastructure company!

We recently closed our Series E at a $1.7 Billion valuation! Check out more here: https://carta.com/blog/seriese/
