Founded in 2006, Cambridge Industries Group (CIG) is headquartered in Shanghai, China with major R&D and Sales/Marketing presence in Silicon Valley. CIG is a leading ODM / JDM / OEM vendor focuses on the following products:

BUSINESS ETHICS

CIG adheres to the highest standards of the business ethics as embodied in the EICC Code of Conduct. All CIG employees are provided with an employee handbook that outlines our business practices, which are reviewed and acknowledged in writing by each employee. Continuous training is provided on ethical practices with a special emphasis on anti-bribery rules and regulations to reinforce those policies, with audits regularly conducted on suppliers to monitor their adherence to global anti-corruption, human rights and environmental laws and regulations.

ENVIRONMENT

CIG adheres to the governing environmental regulations for the safe disposal of all by-products in the manufacturing of its products, including EU directives for WEEE and RoHS. In addition, CIG has reduced its electricity usage by using solar power to meet 30% of our factory’s energy demands. We are also ISO 14001 certified.

SUPPLY CHAIN

As part of its compliance, CIG audits its supplier for adherence to global human rights mandates, including the Conflict Minerals directive according to the U.S. Dodd-Frank Act.

Company MileStones

2006:

The company was founded with a focus on R&D with limited manufacturing capabilities.

2011:

Major R&D and manufacturing expansion to support building high-volume carrier-grade networking products and solutions

2014:

Company HQ and R&D Center relocated to a new 60,000 square feet facility and the manufacturing site to a 300,000 square feet facility in the Pudong area in Shanghai. Lean manufacturing, enhanced information system and automation for manufacturing were introduced to support growing business opportunities.

2016:

Sales and R&D center established in Silicon Valley USA; expanded R&D center to additional sites in Xi’an and Wuhan, China.

With a combination of enhanced information system and automation, the first generation automated production line was established at our Shanghai manufacture facility.

2017:

Upgraded the automated production line to the second generation for flexible high-quality volume production, advancing towards Industry 4.0

IPO completed in November 2017, listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange (Stock Symbol / Code: 603083)

2018:

CIG Shanghai successfully completed the acquisition of MACOM Japan of LR4 100G long range optical subassembly product line.

As part of a corporate expansion, CIG Shanghai is forming the Tokyo-based subsidiary CIGTech Japan Ltd to Capitalize on Future Growth of Optical Sub-Assemblies (TOSAs and ROSAs) operating at speeds of 100G and beyond. Leveraging CIG’s low cost high volume advanced manufacturing capabilities, CIG is aggressively pursuing the Contract Manufacturing (CM) of TOSAs, ROSAs for clients worldwide.

2019:

CIG acquired Lumentum Holdings’ Datacom transceiver product lines that was previously developed and manufactured by Oclaro, Japan. The acquisition was previously announced on March 4, 2019.

Company is applying its expertise and leadership in optical module design and manufacturing for 25Gbps, 100Gbps and 400Gbps products into these new 200Gbps modules targeted for datacenter applications, announcing industries’ first analogue CDR based 200G FR4 module for the datacenter interconnect market.
