Blast Motion is a team of driven professionals with a mission to help athletes, coaches, parents, and fans to enjoy the games of baseball, softball, golf, basketball, football and other sports like they never have before. We already have a world-class IP / patent portfolio, a set of committed investors from the internet, sports, and entertainment industries, and a passionate staff that aspires to bring a compelling user experience and ultimately success and happiness to our customers.

We develop state of the art intelligent inertial motion sensors, 3D motion analysis algorithms / signal processing, smartphone based apps with 3D visualization an machine learning, and cloud computing for advanced analytics via a team / coach oriented web portal. Through this chain of technology and refined solutions, our goal is to provide any aspiring or pro athlete a simple yet profound UX that enables them to improve rapidly through well founded sports science.

Blast Motion is already the official bat / swing sensor technology of Major League Baseball, and is being progressively used by several MLB organizations in active player development. First adopter was the Houston Astros in late 2015 and they are now the best team in baseball, top in the league in hitting at both MLB and AAA minor league. In golf, over half of the pro players in the Ryder Cup world championship are active Blast Motion solution users. Blast Motion is now refining experience from these engagements and bringing them to aspiring athletes in ways that they can easily improve, rapidly and have fun in the process!

Blast Motion is a mid-staged startup based in beautiful Carlsbad, CA in a state of the art 20,000 sq. ft. facility including a 3 story athletic performance and usability lab, using state of the art optical machine vision systems.
