Banked was started in 2018 by 4 friends who had come off a successful journey being involved in the creation of another successful London Fintech startup.
In the early months of 2018 the 4 founders quickly got to work building a team and a proposition which could be tested against a market. This proposition was to redefine the world of financial data and connected payments.
2018 was about gaining our regulated status as a payment initiation service provider along with building a team and getting funded.
2019 has been about building our product, building an awesome network of advisers and financial backers from London, Tel Aviv and San Francisco and soon, we will be launching the product out of Beta.
2020 is going to be a huge year for Banked as we grow our customer base and build a pathway to being a global payments business.
We have connected to all the major banks in the UK and are rolling out integrations to every UK and European bank over the coming months.
Our API infrastructure enables real time and immediate bank to bank transfers, and also powers our own business mobile app. It allows businesses to initiate payments from their customers at a fraction of the cost of traditional merchant payment providers and with greater security than credit cards.
We also provide this API infrastructure to developers via our online developer console. We want to power businesses of all shapes and sizes to access real time payments and get paid instantly. Our technology will remove the huge legacy maze traditional providers have built up over decades.
The customer is at the heart of all of our security, architecture, performance, application and global bank connectivity design.
