    A NOTE ON BIAS

    Early this year we introduced resources to our hiring team around interviewing biases. Being aware of our biases is a good first step, but there are also structural and individual ways to mitigate & minimize the effect of our biases. We have created a structured and planned interview process that seeks to give every candidate an equitable evaluation.

    OUR INTERVIEW PROCESS

    1. 30 minute recruiter screen (zoom or phone)
    2. 30 minute hiring manager screen (zoom)
    3. Take home assignment (depending on position)
    4. Final Zoom Interview (~2-3 hours)

    ABOUT THE ENGINEERING & DATA TEAMS

    Our team is passionate about working together to solve interesting problems with technical solutions...and having fun doing it. With an engineering team split between Austin and Lagos, Nigeria, we know from experience the importance & impact of diversity within Engineering teams. We work hard to ensure everyone has a voice and feels valued, & collaboration is key to our success! We want to hire engineers who are able to learn quickly, take ownership, and contribute. If you do have specific experience in our stack, even better!

    Our frontend teams use primarily Javascript and React, & our backend teams use primarily Python across a mix of frameworks. We are cloud native, running our apps on Kubernetes and AWS, using Gitlab for our CI/CD platform. Our Quality Engineering department focuses on writing automation in Selenium using Javascript and our Data Engineering department works with data warehouses like Snowflake and BI tools like Looker.
