Masabi is the world’s leading provider of mobile ticketing solutions for public transport systems. Our products allow commuters on trains, buses or ferries to buy their tickets on their phones and then use their phone as the ticket! If you are a Londoner, you're thinking, "why don't people just use contactless bank cards, like we have on The Tube?". Well, that's exactly what we are building and you could be a part it!
Masabi was founded by Cambridge graduates with strong roots in Opensource technology who created the business out of a desire to disrupt the transportation market using great software and all the advantages of cloud-based infrastructure like AWS. We try our best to hire great people and then let them get on with what they are good at. Expect to find engaging engineers, great at what they do, and passionate about their products.
We believe making great products should be enjoyable and rewarding. Our teams are self organising – most use scrum, kanban or a hybrid approach that gives them the best chance to meet their collective goals. Each team has specialists in dev, test, (sometimes hardware too) and deployment who work together to create fantastic business outcomes for our customers.
We have hack days 6 times a year, with small yet perfectly formed prizes, but mostly we do it for fun, to learn, and to prototype cool ideas that might help our customers.
Of course we have deadlines, but we love what we do and we celebrate our success regularly.
