Data Analysts collect, analyze, store and interpret different types of data, ranging from sales numbers and logistics to market research. They're responsible for converting raw data into clear information that employers or clients can use in making important business decisions. Their duties may also include removing corrupted data, assessing quality and preparing reports outlining the results of their analysis. Data Analysts are often employed within companies that work with large amounts of data such as banks, consultancy firms, colleges, hospitals and telecommunication businesses. Their job often involves the use of spreadsheets, flowcharts and presentation graphs. Depending on the job, Data Analysts may work as junior analysts—responsible for searching and collecting data; senior data analysts who compile and present reports or as data analysis project managers.
