A Backend Engineer position includes many different responsibilities like the creation and design of system architecture and services, as well as building robust, scalable software using programming languages like Ruby, Java and Scala. Backend Engineers improve code quality using performing code reviews, automation and writing unit tests. Backend Engineers frequently collaborate with other members of the technical team, including Frontend Engineers.
