Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a User Services Support Specialist for OIT- Newark Computing Services. This position reports to the Manager, Information Technology for Rutgers University - Newark Information Technology. Position provides, but is not limited to, assisting with the ongoing support of computer environments campus wide, with special efforts geared towards end-user questions and problems in the campus Help Desk and computer labs.

among the key duties of this position are the following:
* Assists in supervising student workers and provides site-specific training.
* Orients student workers with all University, OIT, and lab policies and ensures policies are enforced.
* Ensures operational readiness of all lab equipment, tracks supply usage and performs basic equipment troubleshooting.
* Assists students, faculty, and staff in utilizing University IT resources.
* Responsible for ensuring the collection and storage of usage statistics (paper, toner, etc.).
