Role

Tesla is seeking a talented and motivated software engineer to join our team at Tesla. We are building a state of the art analytics platform for business and operation intelligence. Tesla we have enormous amounts of data and we want to give meaning to it. We intend for this data to be easily accessed by our users so they can make data driven decisions. Our platform will allow users to answer "what", "when" and "how" questions as well as allow them to ask "what if".

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the company-wide custom reporting application including the web, application, and data tiers

Develop utilities in this platform to provide better charting, drill-down and analytical capabilities

Build ad-hoc analytics application to support more curious data users

Build full text and natural language search functionalities

Take ownership of deployment and release process

Train rest of the data and analytics team on the new platform features and possibly build some great visualizations to support different business domains

Requirements

B.S. degree in Computer Science, IT or related fields

2+ years of full stack software development experience

At least 2 of experience of REACT/Angular JS frameworks

Python web development with the Flask/Django framework is preferred

Experience with designing database objects within relational databases mysql, sql server is preferred

Experience implementing dynamic UIs and working with D3 / NVD3/Angular is preferred

Experience with open source reporting applications like superset is preferred

Experience working with a system at scale and with Docker/Kubernetes/Jenkins CI/CD pipeline is preferred

Excellent analytical and organizational skills and ability to work under pressure /deliver on tight deadlines is a must
