A skilled SDET that takes pride in finding product issues so that customers do not have to. You enjoy working with design engineers to determine optimal testing strategies, tools, and infrastructure for ensuring product quality. You strive to automate tests whenever possible, but know that to thoroughly test a product, manual testing has to be part of the picture.

Responsibilites

* Build automation frameworks to help integrate tests into the current development process
* Writes clear, maintainable, portable test code and scripts
* Executes manual and automated tests, analyses their results, investigates and documents the steps to reliably reproduce the bugs
* Understands how products should function, how product function matches the desired user experience design, and is an advocate for the end users in the engineering process
* Works closely with developers during debug and validation of bug fixes
* Creates full end-to-end test plans for testable components
* Design and develop test tools with focus on continuous integration
* Minimum of two years of embedded testing experience
* Proficient in at least one scripting language (Python, JavaScript, Perl, etc.)
* Experience with automated testing frameworks, tools, services, and physical device
* Self-motivated, with ability to work on multiple projects/tasks with limited direction, and apply good judgment and decision-making skills
* Demonstrated ability to define and implement software test plans, as well as automation for embedded systems
* Solid understanding of various testing methodologies (functional, performance, stress, etc.)

Prefered Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, EE, or related discipline
* Experience with Agile Software Development
* Experience with at least one test framework
* Experience with source control systems (Git, SVN)
* Experience with bug tracking systems (JIRA, TFS, Rally, etc.)
* Experience in testing Linux-based embedded systems
* Basic understanding of physical-layer networking hardware
