Job Summary
* Programming activities for integrated Audio Video Systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Read and interpret AV systems drawings
* Gather programming requirements
* Provide control system design and review audio visual design
* Produce new modules and interfaces
* Create technical standards, processes and procedures
* Provide programming and technical direction to project team when needed
* Mentor Jr. Programmers and Programmers
* Control System programming design to meet requirements and system capabilities
* User Interface programming to meet requirements and system capabilities
* Install control programs and touch panel design onsite, offsite, and remotely in physical systems
* Perform commissioning and acceptance testing of code
* Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting as needed
* Demonstrate completed system to client
* Create programming-related documentation
* Maintain and update programming and code in installed systems
* Maintain control code in version control repository
* Assist manufactures and customers with problem resolution as needed
* Travel to various job sites required
Other duties assigned as needed
Skills and Abilities
* Proficient with test and calibration equipment
* Proficient in programming languages
* Proficient in uploading and downloading software in embedded systems
* Proficient in control system design (Crestron/AMX/Extron)
* Understanding of DSP programming
* Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients and colleagues
* Ability to diagnose and test complex system problems
* Advanced computer skills for the design, configuration, optimization and operations of AV equipment
* Understanding of computer networking and troubleshooting a plus
* Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards
Education and/or Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Four year degree preferred
* CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
* Creston Certified Programmer or AMX Certified Expert
* Two- three years as an AVI-SPL Programmer or five years of similar experience outside of AVI-SPL
