Job Description
The Information Systems Engineer is primarily responsible for administering enterprise email security platforms, and additionally providing system administration support to various end user facing technologies such as instant message platforms, collaborative file sharing and workspaces, as well as new systems management technologies. The ideal candidate must be passionate about technology and possess a vision of delivering enterprise class solutions to various business partners and stakeholders. Strong collaboration and communication skills as well a drive to initiative and action focused will be key to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
* Configure enterprise email content filtering to maintain and increase email security posture
* Maintain a fresh pulse of email security tooling, best practices and controls
* Partner with various retail organizations to share security intelligence
* Resolve escalated support incidents related to system outages
* Troubleshoot system malfunctions and/or other unsatisfactory occurrences, and provide analysis and recommendations for resolution and prevention
* Provide business- and after-hours support
* Provide input into system design and capacity planning; provide documentation to support system architecture
* Engage vendor resources as needed for incident escalations, project engagements, or new technology capabilities
Qualifications: Desired Skills and Talent:
* 2-5 year of experience supporting enterprise email security products
* 2-5 years of experience in a systems administrator role supporting Exchange 2013, Office 365 suite, SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2010, or Lync/Skype for Business
* 2-5 years of experience managing and supporting enterprise message handling services (mail relay) such as Cisco IronPort, FireEye Email Threat Protection, Email Laundry
* 2-4 years of experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python
* Outstanding problem-solving and problem-prevention skills; ability to identify the optimum solution
* Understanding of system lifecycle methodology, with a sharp focus on system security
* Ability to balance work between immediate demands with long term objectives
* Proven ability to mentor and lead others, assess a person's strengths and weaknesses and provide feedback, and facilitate career development
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in both one-on-one situations and group meetings with diverse audiences including senior leadership
* Ability to effectively maintain productive relationships and deliver valued services to multiple peer organizations of varying capabilities and with different requirements
* Proven ability to partner with the business to deliver quality system solutions
* Ability to work evening and weekend hours should it be needed to address high priority incidents
* A team player with a sense of humor
* A positive attitude, willing to learn and have fun
* Willing and able to travel, up to 10%, at times
