The Front-End Web Developer within SSS's Health Technology Solutions team will be responsible for creating robust and user-friendly web interfaces for our clients. The Front-End Developer is a part of a team of analysts and back-end developers.

The Front-End Developer will work on new and existing applications for a variety of federal clients in the health market, building custom applications for unique client needs. The ideal candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple competing priorities and assignments. The candidate must have a strong technical background and be current on modern technologies. You will work closely with a team of software developers, solution architects and end clients in a collaborative environment. You will work in a structured manner following SDLC processes like CMMI, Agile and SCRUM practices.

Responsibilities

* Work iteratively with team to refine the design and functionality leading to production code
* Produce high quality, user-friendly highly interactive web interfaces
* Collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA testers, DBAs and server administrators throughout the software development life cycle
* Consistently communicate the status of their progress to their management and members of other groups on the project
* Trains clients, users and project staff in the use of resultant applications and systems and provides ongoing technical support. Assists in writing and maintaining technical documentation
* Build UI that works across modern browsers (multiple versions) and also on various screen sizes/devices.
* Work closely with software developers to create web applications that adhere to 508 standards compliance
* Drive effective teamwork, communication and collaboration to achieve results

Qualifications

* Highly skilled at front-end engineering using Object-Oriented JavaScript, various JavaScript libraries and micro frameworks (jQuery, AngularJS, Backbone) HTML5 and CSS3
* Experience developing Single page applications
* Experience consuming REST APIs
* Experience with WordPress and other Content Management Systems (CMS) with experience in PHP scripting language
* Experience in using D3 Highcharts, or other javascript based data visualization libraries Working knowledge of .NET and MVC Framework
* Working knowledge of Visual Studio and similar IDEs
* Knowledgeable of databases and data-driven design
* Experience in designing systems that meets Federal regulatory requirements for Accessibility (508) and overall best practices for user experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with at least 5+ years of related experience
* Minimum 3+ years' experience as developer or user experience professional
* Experience working in a federal consulting firm environment is preferred
* Able to facilitate with clients to clarify overall solutions, goals and objectives
* Exhibit clear oral and written communication skills
* Strong customer service/client service skill
