Front-End Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a Front-End Developer to join our team in Kirkland, WA. As the Front-End Developer, you will have the opportunity to tackle a variety of big and small projects that are fun, challenging and span the spectrum of front-end development. Your responsibilities will include following:

* Semantic HTML/CSS coding/updating for assigned projects
* Very Strong JavaScript/DOM scripting to build interactive but accessible interface
* Closely working with UX teams and Designers
* Daily maintenance/updates to existing sites
* Strong HTML Experience
* Obsession with details
* Load/Save data from/to SQLServer database using SQL server XML capabilities.
* Create WCF webservice as middle tier layer to connect UI and DB and enable bulk upload/download functionality
* Create UI as MVC Web App using above WCF webservice as data communication layer
* Extra requirements: Excel VBA experience to enable bulk upload/download scenario using Excel Workbook.

Requirements:

* 3-5 years or relevant experience
* BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* Exceptional communication skills both oral and written
* Ability to write standards based, semantic HTML and CSS and modern layouts using tableless design
* Ability to do DOM scripting with JavaScript and various JS libraries like MooTools, JQuery
* A strong understanding of modern web practices to create an efficient user-experience
* A good understanding of cross-browser issues and their workarounds, especially IE9.
* Experience working with server-side scripting languages like .NET
* Experience working with SQL, XML, and Silverlight preferred
* Strong portfolio required
* Must be a team player and open to change
