JOB DESCRIPTION

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is looking for an eCommerce Site Manager for its Pottery Barn Kids Brand! The Pottery Barn Kids eCommerce team is a fun, energetic, diverse team working in a fast-paced environment to bring our unique brand to life online. The right person, for thir role, will lead and manage the PBK Site Operations team to deliver the successful implementation of web site releases for potterybarnkids.com, including day to day business updates, new technology and site initiatives, and multi-variate and A/B testing. This person will partner with multiple, internal cross-functional groups to ensure that all project releases are completed on time and meet the highest quality and accuracy standards. This person will need to be the "go to" authority on all things site operations and content management systems -- able to elevate and translate the tech speak into concise, layman's terms insights for the other functions in the brand.

* Manage and lead the on-time, accurate implementation of daily and seasonal web site releases by interfacing with cross-functional teams, working in multiple content management systems, setting system load and user acceptance testing schedules, and checking live sites for accuracy
* Lead, manage, and train site management direct reports on multiple content management systems and web release testing/scheduling. Develop direct reports to build bench strength and foster career growth within site operations.
* Lead the rapid implementation, testing, and scaling of multiple, new website initiatives, in additional to daily site activity
* Set the tone of the team's cross-functional partnerships by fostering collaborative, respectful relationships, in which each functional group owns their role and contributes to the overall brand goals and achievements. Key partners are: Digital Creative, Merchandising, Marketing, Inventory, Technology, User Experience teams
* Set the tone of the site management group with a calm, positive, focused, and forward motion leadership style in a high pressure, fast work environment with changes and last minute requests
* Oscillate between leading and delegating the site management group to deliver the daily site operation's needs, but also "rolling up sleeves" to perform critical site operations duties as needed
* In partnership with eCommerce Merchandising and Digital Creative, create and manage the seasonal launch calendars and facilitate the cross-functional group to meet deadlines
* Coordinate and perform user acceptance testing for monthly technology project releases corresponding new site initiatives
* Be a champion of process improvement and efficiency, partnering within the eCommerce Merchandising/Marketing org and across the functional partners to suggest and implement process improvements and tools
* Elevate issues with site functionality and project deadline issues to the Director of eCommerce, including action plans and revised deadlines
* Author technology application release recaps for the team, translating into layman's terms the new technology features and their meaning to the brand, the business, and the web driven customer experience
* Assist in training eCommerce Merchandising team partners on the web content management systems
* In partnership with the Ecommerce director and Technology organization partners, ideate the strategies and innovations that drive annual technology initiatives and budgets
* Create the annual software services budget and manage monthly accruals reporting and reforecasting
* Support partner brands' site management groups occasionally as needed
* Work on special assignments as needed

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field
* You have 3 or more years' experience managing a team with multiple direct reports
* You have experience with content management software and/or web products
* You have experience in a project management role
* You have knowledge of web site development processes and project management as a discipline
* You are a strategic leader who's also willing and able to perform site operations duties in addition to delegating them to the team
* You have a demonstrated ability to understand technology, including database structures and site architectures
* You have strong communication skills - able to simplify and explain highly technical concepts to non-technical partners
* You have strong interpersonal skills -- a team player with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple functional partners, keeping relationships positive and productive and projects on time and accurat
* You're comfortable and able to lead/perform in a high-pressure environment with a fast work pace. You can effectively manage and work in an ever-changing environment with last minute changes.
* You make timely decisions, anticipate / elevate problems, and provide creative solutions
* You are well-organized, detail oriented, and deadline-driven
* You have a positive, collaborative, team-oriented, and results-driven attitude
* You are highly organized, have good follow through, and are able to prioritize and plan workload and deadlines
* You have experience with A/B and multi-variate testing
* Evening and weekend hours required
* Retail ecommerce experience a plus
