The Who, What, Where and Why

Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking a Data Architect to be a key leader in the governance, management and stewardship of data across the organization. This role will work with legal, security, engineering and sales to help understand and track the flow of data throughout Twilio and across third party systems. Reporting to the VP of Architecture, this position is critical and will help Twilio maintain its focus on customer trust through careful data management and protection.

Who?

Twilio is looking for a leader with a demonstrated track record of managing data at large global organizations

* 5-7 years of management experience
* Direct experience supporting compliance initiatives such as HIPAA, GDPR or PCI
* Extensive experience designing schemas, data flows and data object models.
* In depth knowledge of SQL and NoSQL data storage systems
* Experience with Data Mining, Data Analytics (running SQL queries and generating reports) and business process design
* Bachelors/Masters degree required, or equivalent experience.

What?

As Data Architect, you will:

* Document the data topology in use at Twilio today
* Map the flow of data within the Twilio products and across third party systems such as SFDC, marketing automation systems and more.
* Work with Security and Legal teams to understand compliance and protection requirements.
* Help define overall governance of data to maintain our customers trust.
