Description
SAIC is looking for an energetic Computer Desktop Support technician that can work independently, providing support/troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of individual customer's computers. Daily tasks will include handling network connections, hardware, operating systems, and corporate applications (both commercial and in‑house developed) support; troubleshooting and repairing primarily Windows based operating systems, Windows configuration, Internet access, attachment to network printing, email and Microsoft Office consulting, and implementing security policies as required. The candidate should also be able to provide training and technical guidance for fellow workers.

Required Experience
AA degree in related discipline and 3 years or more of related experience; Or High School diploma and 5 years or more of related experience and related advanced certification.
1-3 years' experience providing desktop support in Windows environment
Proven experience of having provided the highest quality of customer service in a fast paced IT service environment
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines on a variety of activities
Willingness to learn and continually upgrade technical skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are also required
Experience working in an IT service operation using ITIL best practices and experience managing ticket queue
Ability to work a deviated work schedule to accommodate customer's schedule
An active DOE L or Q clearance is desired or candidate must be able to meet DOE requirements to obtain a security clearance
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with other IT professionals outside of the work center are also required.
Desired Experience:
Strong experience in Windows system administration (desktop and server) and troubleshooting (system setup, account management, backup/restore, network printers, application installation and peripheral installations, etc.).
