BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DATA ANALYST

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our Operations staff who supports the Bank's headquarters in Glen Head, Long Island and 52 Bank locations on Long Island and in NYC.

The Business Intelligence Data Analyst administers the Banks Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Analytics applications. Using tools such as Cognos, develops new and existing reports for end users and management. Serving as the Banks subject matter expert (SME), develops documentation, methodology, and framework for reporting. Designs, develops, tests, implements and modifies SQL-type reports and dashboards.

Understanding the Banks core applications and their impact on BI activities including Deposit, Loan and G/L functionality, the BI Data Analyst monitors automated processes and provides support and troubling shooting for critical activities which may include weekends, evenings and holidays.

Other responsibilities include processing and distribution of legacy reports, analysis of business and user needs to develop requirements documentation including data flow, maintaining user access through Data Warehouse Administration, migrating Hyperion Oracle reports to Fiserv iVue (Cognos) system, performing routine maintenance of BI systems, updating cross reference tables, updating systems for compatibility and regularly testing the Data Warehouse disaster recovery plan. The BI Data Analyst acts as a liaison to develop and test automated or ad-hoc reports that support and track business objectives including performance and runs periodic Foxtrot mass maintenance updates.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in computer science or 5+ years related field in developing/implementing enterprise-scale reports and dashboards

2+ years experience with Banking or Payment Processing Systems

Proficiency with the Cognos product suite (Report Studio, BA)

Ability to effectively plan, manage, prioritize and work on multiple tasks and provide quality deliverables on schedule

Highly adaptable to new technologies

Ability to communicate technical information to a wide range of end-users

Strong knowledge of data warehouse fundamentals and with experience supporting data warehouses

Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic project management tools

Database\DBS\SQL experience preferred

Familiarity with ETL and Data Governance preferred

Dashboard implementation (Qlik/Tableau) experience preferred

Fiserv Signature, Fiserv iVue\Business Analytic experience a plus
