Product Designer Salary in New York

Product Designer Job Description

Product Designers are responsible for creating and enhancing everyday products. They use their skills to determine the users of a particular product, and then figure out the best delivery models and technical elements of the design. They utilize UX/UI and visual design tools for creating items that are innovative and provide solutions for everyday needs.

Product Designers are tasked with creating new products, or modifying existing items and enhancing their use and value. They work closely with clients to follow their briefs and understand their concepts. From there, product designers use preliminary sketches and computer-aided design programs to create designs based on technical specifications. They develop prototypes using computer software and their hands depending on the overall complexity of the project. Product Designers are also responsible for testing prototypes, adjusting the design and submitting final products for client approval.
