Visual UI Designer Job Description

Visual UI Designers encompass an all-inclusive knowledge of brand and identity and how to best leverage that knowledge in marketing and user interface design. They are expected to be able to collaborate with teams throughout the organization in an effort to ensure a consistent brand narrative. Candidates should be able to demonstrate skills such as overseeing visual design stages, working closely with developer teams and even doing some programming themselves. Visual UI designers may be expected to have attention to detail, creativity, problem solving abilities and have strong presentation skills. Candidates may be asked to have a bachelor‰Ûªs degree in computer design or software engineering.

Living and Working in Chicago

There are many different neighborhoods in Chicago to choose from when deciding where to live. Areas near downtown can be more expensive but tend to be cleaner. Areas near colleges have a trendier vibe and plenty of off-campus student housing. Hyde Park is one such neighborhood that is located near the University of Chicago with plenty of old brick rental apartments that offer a stunning view of Lake Michigan. Rogers Park is located on the northern border of Chicago and is a quiet neighborhood with older apartments for rent by Lake Michigan. It offers trails for biking and running as well as miles of beaches and parks for plenty of outdoor activities. Lincoln Park is another peaceful neighborhood that also is surrounded by beautiful outdoor spaces and parks. It is known for its brick row houses and historic churches.
