The role of a Business Systems Engineer is to manage and monitor the business systems and infrastructures for the company or organization that they work for. This may involve installation, configuration and testing of the operating systems. A Business Systems Engineer is also responsible for the installation and maintenance of application software and business system management tools. They must regularly monitor and test application performance to look for potential bottlenecks, find solutions and implement them.
To be hired as a Business Systems Engineer, applicants should have a BS or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. They should also have experience working in Unix/Linux based environments, administration and performance tuning of application stacks, solid Cloud experience and scripting and networking skills.
