Desktop Support is a job that is in high demand. It requires good communication and customer support skills, the discipline to document work performed and experience with operating systems such as Windows and Linux. This role is responsible for work and maintenance on LAN and WAN infrastructure and should be able to troubleshoot TCP/IP networking issues. A Desktop Support specialist also fixes desktop and laptop issues throughout the company and maintains a document management system.

To qualify for the role of Desktop Support, applicants should have experience working on operating systems, hardware and software configurations and good problem-solving skills. Since this role involves a lot of interaction with others, excellent communication skills and a team player attitude are also important attributes for this role.
