These specialists examine budgets, department metrics and operational activities. They look at variances and trends in order to pinpoint areas within the organization that are in need of changes. Business operations specialists observe consumers of a company by assessing surveys and feedback, implementing a web presence, updating software and making adjustments to customer service protocols. They also communicate with each department of an organization to create an efficient and cohesive environment. Business operations specialists are knowledgeable in accounting, as well as Microsoft Office Suites like Excel and Word. They usually have experience in management systems, along with computer systems such as Salesforce, HTML and Oracle. These specialists also possess keen leadership and teambuilding skills.
