Meet the Speakers

Erick Tai
Co-founder & VP of Engineering
Erick Tai is Co-founder and VP of Engineering at Reflektive, overseeing the real-time performance management platform's development, innovation, expansion and feature delivery. With deep expertise in software engineering, front-end development, and product lifecycle management, Tai is a hands-on leader who excels at inspiring his team in both strategy and execution.

Before Reflektive, Tai spent 10 years as an engineering manager, first at NexTag (acquired by Providence Equity) and later at StackMob (acquired by PayPal). As StackMob's #2 employee, Tai built and led the engineering team responsible for creating the industry's first mobile backend-as-a-service solution and oversaw the company's lean front-end engineering team, helping grow the company to acquisition in less than 4 years.

Tai earned a degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering at UCLA and a Masters in e-Business Technology as a member of the founding class of Carnegie Mellon University's Silicon Valley campus.
Pattie Money
Chief People Officer
Pattie Money comes to SendGrid with over 20 years of HR leadership experience, spending the last 15 years in the technology sector. As the Chief People Officer at SendGrid, she oversees SendGrid's greatest assets, our human resources, and is responsible for building and implementing the People Operations strategies and programs that support our ambitious growth and evolving organization while preserving and enhancing our core culture. Prior to joining SendGrid, Pattie served as Chief People Officer at TubeMogul, a publicly traded global ad tech company in the Bay Area and Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Mercury Payment Systems, a payment technology company.

Pattie holds a Bachelor of Business Degree from University of Memphis and a Master of Science in Human Resource Development Degree from Villanova University.
Karsten Vagner
Senior Director of People Operations
Karsten Vagner is the Senior Director of People Operations at Hired, where he leads both the Recruiting team and the HR Business Partner team. With 10 years of experience in tech startups, Karsten has focused on helping grow small companies into billion dollar businesses by attracting, retaining, and developing top talent all over the world.
