Build And Release Engineers will usually perform nightly builds for a given piece of software in order to get the entire package ready for release on time. They will also need to create programming scripts to test builds in a robust manner.

A four-year degree in computer science is often the bare minimum, however some companies will accept equivalent work experience. Strong analytical skills are also vital to the success of this position.
