AR-VR Engineers collaborate with a software team in developing advanced solutions for different equipment and mobile devices. This ranges from developing mobile games and social media lenses to head-mounted displays to designing complex flight simulator programs for pilots. Other possible duties include mapping systems, debugging complex code and adapting new technologies.

Most AR-VR Engineers have a degree in computer science, software development or a related field. They are skilled coders and typically have a minimum of five years of experience designing real-time systems or 3D environments. They’re also expected to have good math and analytic skills.
